Through endless snow and murky white
doth leaking red make certain that night
hath come to do in the shallow graves
of second ice and shortened days
lone built cottage peaking through
the chilly coat that covered, too
and from whence the mother
from heaven did die
not brother but sister
and younger they cry
sat fitted near death in tombs of room
rotted wood and with unhealed wounds
big sister the tyrant, self proclaim
in over her head; the two insane
in portrait guile the sky unfold
electric miles of snow white cold
cover the cottage in neat pretension
the growing need for food, attention
when finally the last leaf fell
a bullet rips back, to hell she fell
the paper trees of darkened dead bronze
after the ring, the sister was gone
in all that is done, the snow it won
over the belt and behold
the red nightfall
comes leaking through
the white daylight
of mourning mounds
