We Feel Bad Sometimes
03:31
|
|||
we feel bad sometimes, yeah
but sometimes we feel glad to be what we be
I've got crimes and I've done time and who I'll be and who I will be is none of your concern
oh baby in these intricate times of passion we feel, and splice, we bring up the thanksgiving table
of democracy, of craftsmanship. Who do we lie to in this age of politics and reason and who brings what dish on what day and what giddy little parade oh what a charade of tolerated treason we have before ourselves today!
we feel bad sometimes, yeah
but sometimes we feel glad to be what we be
and times decay our mortal selfs in this awareness of the self we bring to light one remarkable thing, dear friend of mine please see me next time you're around, dear brother of mine please be there next time around, and I'll melt with the cheese and go with the breeze, but please don't let me break down!
this pale blue earth, a grim spec of dirt floating in the ancestors pool
the willow blaze and an everlasting glaze upon the glimmer and all that is gold
we feel bad sometimes, yeah
but sometimes we feel glad to be what we be
we feel bad sometimes, yeah
we feel glad sometimes, yeah
we feel bad sometimes, yeah

Bag It, Tag It
03:14
|
|||
he says do it, I say don't
we go through with it
sometimes won't
you're speaking something
way down low
breathing softly now
seed the sows
I say have it
when else will you get the chance
I say grab it
when else do you catch a glance
when else can you nab it
go down the undertow
who else can unravel it
who else runs the show
what lost thing is this
found in the gutter bliss
what dark signs align the street
what other sights do you seek
in obituary
the faces all repeat
in the estruary
there's a little leak
she says bag it
are you just going to stand there?
she says tag it
I see a dog
better beware
he says do it
I say don't
we go through with it
sometimes won't
we're speaking something
way down low
breathing softly now
seed the sows
who else can unravel it
who else runs the show
what lost thing is this
found in the gutter bliss
what dark signs align the street
what other sights do you seek
what kinds of things sprawled on your floor
what kinds of fun lie waiting at your door

Puppet Motel
04:22
|
|||
I live on the highway near the Puppet Motel.
I log in every day. I know the neighborhood well.
Now about the residents of the Puppet Motel
They're more than a little spooky
And most of them are mean. They're runnin' the numbers
They're playin' cops and robbers
Down in their dungeons inside their machines.
Cause they don't know what's really real now
They're havin' fourth dimensional dreams
Their minds are out on bail now
And real is only what it seems.
And all the puppets in this digital jail
They're runnin' around in a frenzy in search of the Holy Grail.
They're havin' virtual sex. They're eatin' virtual food.
No wonder these puppets are always in a lousy mood.
So if you think we live in a modern world
Where everything is clean and swell
Take a walk on the B side of town down by the Puppet Motel.
Take a whiff. Burning plastic.
I drink a cup of coffee I try to revive
My mind's a blank I'm barely alive
My nerves are shot I feel like hell
Guess it's time to check in at the Puppet Motel.
Boot up. Good afternoon. Pause.
Oooo. I really like the way you talk.
Pardon me. Shut down.

Wild Town
03:47
|
|||
weeping shame
he got a name, says fool
a tattoo on his arm and thighs
so cruel when wind sings
the animals all come round
abound by the great big flood above
again they rise to the game
with weeping shame
and yellow teeth
oh please relive the sheet
off the face
oh cry out the name
to save the birds and the bees
I sees the wind and the leaves
wild smoking leaves abound
in this wild town
in this cold winter breeze
in these wild wicked dreams
I sees you and me
together afloat in the boat
abound forever to an eternal somehow
a somewhere upon eternity
a somehow upon the glowing ghosts of old
forever afloat in an unusual way
she sings the sirens somehow
oh cry out the name
with weeping shame
bitter fame repulsed upon
the mystic vows, abound
so cruel when wind sings
in this wild wicked town

Fever
05:46
|
|||
Never know how much I love you
Never know how much I care
When you put your arms around me
I get a fever that's so hard to bear
You give me fever
When you kiss me
Fever when you hold me tight
Fever! in the morning
Fever all through the night
Sun lights up the daytime
Moon lights up the night
I light up when you call my name
And you know I'm gonna treat you right
You give me fever
When you kiss me
Fever when you hold me tight
Fever! in the morning
Fever all through the night
Everybody's got the fever
That is something you all know
Fever isn't such a new thing
Fever started long ago
Romeo loved Juliet
Juliet, she felt the same
When he put his arms around her
He said, "Julie, baby, you're my flame
"Thou giveth fever
"When we kisseth
"Fever with thy flaming youth
"Fever! I'm afire
"Fever, yea, I burn, forsooth."
Cap'n Smith and Pocahontas
Had a very mad affair
When her daddy tried to kill him
She said, "Daddy, oh, don't you dare!
"He gives me fever
"With his kisses
"Fever when he holds me tight
"Fever! I'm his missus
"Daddy, won't you treat him right?"
Now you've listened to my story
Here's the point that I have made
Chicks were born to give you fever
Be it Fahrenheit or Centigrade
They give you fever
When you kiss them
Fever if you live and learn
Fever! till you sizzle
What a lovely way to burn
What a lovely way to burn
What a lovely way to burn
What a lovely way to burn

Hiding In Your Place
03:57
|
|||
come dance with me, babe
I don't bite
come shine with me, babe
but not too bright
pinning without you in this whimpering hall
of walls covering something
hiding in your place
come dance with me, babe
I don't bite
come shine with me, babe
but not too bright
lower your voice in rejoice
of this whimpering blissful truly elegant
dance together
forever on the pace
too late, it's
too late, it's
come dance with me, babe
I don't bite
come shine with me, babe
but not too bright
in nightly hallows breathing for us as one
in an ever flowing river with an ever shining sun
the birds are calling
and I think I'm falling for you
we dance and sway
in our own way
and the spectators take pictures
and send them to their friends
what does it mean when the moment is gone
what does it say when we are done
our dance is over and what's left to be done
pinning without you in this whimpering hall
of walls covering something
hiding in your place
come dance with me, babe
I don't bite
come shine with me, babe
but not too bright
lower your voice in rejoice
of this whimpering blissful truly elegant
dance together
forever on the pace
too late, it's
too late, it's
too late, it's
too late, it's

Black Dove
04:41
|
|||
the songbird sings
and I am free to be
anything I ever wanted to be
and in time the fire dies
along with my striving
and my intuition
a lonely crow caws
an orphan girl sings
an ice age thaws
some new beginning
when they were waiting for you
the first one commence
singing songs of truth
keeping everyone in suspense
the willowed dove
takes a bath
creeping up the sand
it rises up
and is turned to black
the blackbird caws
the soft floating paws
near the evergreen forrest
a morsre coded florist
dealing flowers and rags
flying above every tree
the breasted dove, wholly
in between the leaves
across the land
in between the sand
the waters turn to blood
the fodder above the gold
the lovely hearts mutter
the sand between their toes
again the story ends
it goes like this
again the light goes dark
again the furrowed sand
beats its breast like this
a lost lover's lovely remark
the fodder above the gold
the lovely hearts mutter
the sand between their toes

Rock To Me
03:55
|
|||
bring a little over to me
stop reading the signs
come on over here
and show it to me
get with the times
get on over here
and talk to me
embrace the embitter tastelessness
of you, me, and everyone in here
give a little more shock to me
I've been so plain and planked
as of late, and I need a little more
rock to me
rock to me
I stay up late, and I know you do too
gotta get some more locks for me
to keep you out, and the cardinals too
got another little box for ya
it's full of rocks and holes
and a little more talk for ya
could do a man's soul
a world of good
that's what they keep saying to me
always trying to talk to me
bring a little over to me
stop reading the signs
come on over here
and show it to me
get with the times
get on over here
and talk to me
embrace the embitter tastelessness
of you, me, and everyone in here
give a little more shock to me
I've been so plain and planked
as of late, and I need a little more
rock to me
rock to me
rock to me
rock to me

We Be
03:09
|
|||
it's time to party
it's time to relax
it's happening again, man
it's happening fast
we sit in silence and stare at the wall
breathing in loudly
coughing so harshly
laughing so nicely
we enjoy the time
singing for you
and singing for me
we be
it's time to shuffle
it's time to attack
one more word
one more gasp
we sit in silence and stare at the wall
staring so harshly
breathing so low
feeling so parched, me
feeling so cold
and singing for me
singing for you
we be
here

Moth Man
04:43
|
|||
drained of all feeling
drained of all touch
lost on your reeling
beginning to blush
the touch of your hand
on my warm winter's face
the beat of your drum
the fall from your grace
if lust does pursue
of morning glory wine
the everlasting sun
the lack of time
for a pale blue dot
lost in time
and meaning
lighten up people
you have a whole life to live
all those furry bunnies
got nothing to give
lighten up the sky
soften up your breathe
before the night sky falls
and after our deaths
grey colored mothballs
unmeasurable rex
ate through our souls
and saved all the rest
untie the neck
unlace the belt
heaven sent letters only tell
what candid bodies reel in
in that flutter overhead
the moth man come
and see them
the roses on the bed
have another beer
have another glass
what can you get done
always sitting on your ass
baby's born to brew
that green of life stew
and a royal blue Matilda
floating in your glass

A Seaside Incident
04:35
|
|||
out of the fog
out of the sea
the clear-cut pictures
pasted all over me
upon the netted floor of gossamer gore
out on the lawn
another pawn gone
upon the chess of chests
unrest abound
out of the ground
the bones sing their tune
into the mist
I see the fists of old glory
nothing's a-miss,
into the sea
abound in glory smog
out of the fog
into the sea
old glory came down
to the ground

Hellblazer
03:56
|

remember the times
remember the faces
remember the crimes
remember the places
you shared with the brother
of another...
Hellblazer
believing the Shivas
all along the pathways to grace
a perpetual place of peace
sitting sweetly in his haste in the brew
and remember the falling out you had most recent
a tumble of inexplicable gifts
of almost no sense
remember the times
remember the faces
remember the crimes
remember the places
you shared with the brother
of another...
Hellblazer
one elaborate mistake upon another
moving upwards in faith
of our brother...
Hellblazer
in one truly stunning face
Hellblazer
Hellblazer
Hellblazer
