under a chilly summer sun
waiting for the moment that the early sun
would come up and greet us with it's morning glaze

it was hazy as we treaded the lonely streets at dawn
it was glistening fun while laughing
as the music stopped and the dream began to fade

such fun smashing the mirror
into tiny tiny bits

distorted faces on a desolate train
going nowhere from the same place again
it was raining and I bet you felt it, too

did many winters send us
back up to where our trip began

I find myself again in the loop of missing you

when the sun came up and the fog was thick
lounging on the ground in the park near central square
loving every moment and never living a care

as the sun dog came upon us
so did the deeds at large
over the foggy morning
after my mind was stretched and bruised

when every sounding moment
that makes the gap enlarge
the memory of that moment
forever in my heart
